Welcome to Summerville's Free Health Care Place

Welcome Summer!

As a cautionary note, remember to stay cool and drink plenty of fluids, especially water in these extreme heat spells. Limit outside work activities to early mornings and the evenings wherever possible.

We are looking to increase our outreach to those we serve in our community. We have been distributing information cards and brochures to many of our churches and community bulletin boards to remind folks we are here to help with your health care needs. We continue to operate on Thursday evenings where many of our 40 plus volunteers are ready to address your health concerns.

We are still in need of a few additional nursing folks to help with Triage (taking history and vitals) and could still use another doctor or two. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering.

More than 30% of our patients are diabetics. Diabetes can have divesting consequences if left untreated. The staff at MOCS works closely with all our patients to ensure that they are getting the best care, information and medication necessary to manage their condition.

Prescription Assistance

Approximately three quarters of all our patients may qualify for long term prescription assistance. The staff at MOCS works very hard to make sure all our patients get the medication they need. We have many options available to our patients with our partnerships with local pharmacies. Additionally, most pharmaceutical companies provide assistance to patients who may be unable to afford their prescriptions, especially those on long term medications.

A Good Value

When you give to Medical Outreach Clinic of Summerville, you are supporting those in our community who need your support the most.
