Alice Bright, RN

Patient Care Coordinator

Jennifer is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of South Carolina Upstate, with more than 25 years of experience in a variety of settings. She began her career as a pediatric nurse at Roper Hospital and St. Francis Hospital, including urgent care and private practice settings. In 2006, she became a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant while at the same time volunteering as a triage nurse for MOCS. From October 2009 until July 2015, Jennifer Wyckoff has served as the Executive Director of MOCS; her current position is that of Patient Care Coordinator.

Jennifer enjoys having the opportunity to use her skills as a nurse to help individuals who do not have access to healthcare. She feels it is also a great privilege to be able to share her faith in God with her patients, and to extend to them a message of hope and encouragement through a life based on faith in Christ our Savior.

Some of her favorite pastimes are cooking, gardening and having fun with friends and her family. Jennifer and her husband have lived in Summerville for 12 years and have two sons.

Marty Thomas

Marty Thomas

Clinic Manager

Marty is a resident of Summerville SC since 2009, “a transplanted from Long Island New York,” as he puts it.

He started his work with MOCS as a volunteer greeter in 2010. After volunteering here and at other local ministries, Marty committed himself to MOCS and their mission – which he felt was congruent with his life as a Christian. In 2013 he was asked to assume the position of Assistant Director to assist the Clinic Director in providing services to the community. Marty’s primary duties at MOCS is medical administration for the clinic and serves as the Website Manager.

Marty Thomas retired after 33 years with National Grid, an international gas and electric utility of over 30,000 employees, where he worked as an office manager in the corporate medical office. His main responsibilities were maintaining corporate compliance with medically related federal and state regulations. Additionally, he coordinated the company’s Employee Assistance Program in the United States and the corporate blood drive programs that supported the NY Blood Center with over 4,000 pints of blood per year.

Additionally, for the past three years he has served as the Director of Outreach for Ashley Ridge Church, which includes the programs “Expanding the Table”, a mobile soup kitchen serving the homeless and poor in the Summerville community, along with coordinating the Change for a Dollar program that each week directly meets some tangible need of someone in the community who is struggling financially.

He is the Chairperson on the Board of Directors for the Dorchester County Community Outreach / Lowcountry Home of Hope, which is a homeless shelter in Summerville that houses up to ten men with hopes of providing shelter, food and support to them as they transition back to leading fully effective lives.

Marty is a veteran of the United States Army and has an undergraduate degree from the University of the State of New York, with a field of interest in Psychology.
